Daeva: Kiss of the Succubus (Mature)
Daeva, from Vampire: the Requiem, is the clan of vampires who embody all the sexual attributes vampires are given in fiction. For them, sexual lust and bloodlust are the same. Beautiful and decadent, they use these qualities to lure in victims, supplying them with the most amazing sensual experience ever in return for blood.
I ended up recycling a pose from the drawing I'd done of Brooke and Erin last summer, but cleaned it up for this. I still haven't gotten to do my idea of bodies under the bed, but maybe that is something I'll have to add to a future picture sans this specific pose.
I really need to mix things up with a hetero vamp & victim one of these days.

Aanya- Pouty Lips
I did this the other night after the Jenny and Moon portrait, but thought I might do a little more to it. I figure I'll just leave this one flat for now. Like the Jenny and Moon one, it might become something more later. I was working on the both as part of a possible poster.

A Couple of Aanya Sketches
While in class I worked on a couple of drawings of Michael's character Aanya. I decided to tatter her coat and skirt, though I wish I'd kept the coat longer since it made a nicer dark shape. The bust picture was just me wanting to do more. I think she looks a bit younger.
I can hardly wait for summer so hopefully I can get back to working on the paneling amidst summer classes.

Linda Fireflies Book Cover
So I finished the book cover for Fireflies, a vampire romance novel by Lacey Rhea. To read excerpts from the book and get more information, check out the Myspace page. It's for adults and has Mature Content. The image is of when the main character is turned in Central Park while other nymphomites lurk in the background to take their turn drinking. I'll post again when the book is published.

Linda Fireflies WIPs
I was recently given a commission for a cover to a romance novel. It's about lesbian vampires called nymphomites. The Myspace page for it can be found here. Caution, it does have sexual content in the excerpts from the book posted in the blog.
Here's my process for it so far:
The basic idea I had was for the two women to be embracing while the vampire glowed and the others lurked in the background eagerly waiting to join them. I cropped a pose of the vampire holding up the protagonist's leg while kissing/biting her neck. It takes place in central park so I had the city off in the background above the treeline.
I'm currently working on the colored version. I have Coraline playing in the background so I started looking up the original Dave McKean book and the merchandise and it's influenced my stylization a bit.

Aanya Glaring

When I was going through stock to draw my other pic of Aanya, I came across this one and loved the fiery eyes. I just had to use it for a portrait of Aanya.
Again, done in Josh Middleton style, this time with shading only on the face.

Winter Aanya & Jenny
Michael and I were watching a Christmas episode and he commented how he loves winter episodes because it forces the characters to wear a new outfit.

I decided to do his OC in winter clothes, though being the undead she doesn't really require staying warm. She can look/dress how she wants, (though I doubt if she were in disguise she'd keep her face so gaunt and pale.

After I finished Aanya, I decided to do his other female character from the same story.
Because Jenny is a werewolf, Mike and I decided to give her wolf-fur trim.
