Gates of Perdition cover
I had gone through several ideas, including a collage similar to the previous cover, because they are part of the same storyline. I came up with this one because the book had references to mirrors, and it's about a corrupt psychologist, so I used a Rorschach design.

Demon of the Fall Cover
Lucio "Toxic Lou" Pardine double crosses the Delamino family's most notorious killer and flees to Purity, a small town with a dark legacy. The killer tracks Lou to Purity, where they will have a final, bloody confrontation. Or maybe the ancient evil brooding in Purity's abandoned church will use them both as puppets.

Fireflies Now for Sale
Last January I did a book cover for Fireflies by Lacey Reah.
Plot summary:
Linda is a calculating, career-driven woman whose perfect world is shattered when she is seduced and transformed by a vampire-like creature called a nymphomite. Linda becomes a beast, feeding off the energy of orgasmically-charged blood. Convinced that her humanity has faded away, Linda adapts to her new instincts of hunger and sex. She hunts women primarily, for their longer and more frequent orgasms, and becomes a master of prolonging and intensifying their pleasure. But she never expected to find a woman like Jesse, and Linda's decision to spare her life instead of feed off her leads to a shocking turn of events that will make Linda question her beast-like identity and the humanity she thought she had lost.
The book is now available through iUniverse. (Note, I did not do the typography, just the image.)

Linda Fireflies Book Cover
So I finished the book cover for Fireflies, a vampire romance novel by Lacey Rhea. To read excerpts from the book and get more information, check out the Myspace page. It's for adults and has Mature Content. The image is of when the main character is turned in Central Park while other nymphomites lurk in the background to take their turn drinking. I'll post again when the book is published.

Life Drawing- Don't Tell Daddy
I ended up sitting in a place with severe foreshortening on the model. The top half of her body wasn't going well, so I decided to crop it to her legs, because her feet were poised nicely. I was having an off-day shading, so the lineart is a bit better.
It started off with just a textured dark shadow but for some reason I turned it red and made this into a crime scene photo. No idea where the creepy title came from. I wanted this to look like one of those cheap murder paperbacks.

Linda Fireflies WIPs
I was recently given a commission for a cover to a romance novel. It's about lesbian vampires called nymphomites. The Myspace page for it can be found here. Caution, it does have sexual content in the excerpts from the book posted in the blog.
Here's my process for it so far:
The basic idea I had was for the two women to be embracing while the vampire glowed and the others lurked in the background eagerly waiting to join them. I cropped a pose of the vampire holding up the protagonist's leg while kissing/biting her neck. It takes place in central park so I had the city off in the background above the treeline.
I'm currently working on the colored version. I have Coraline playing in the background so I started looking up the original Dave McKean book and the merchandise and it's influenced my stylization a bit.
